I get it. Everybody’s busy. But in the busyness of life, you still…
- take out insurance
- lock your doors
- save for retirement
- make plans for the future.
You try to be prepared for the important things.
I get it. No one wants religion shoved in their face. But think about this for a second.
What if the Bible says something life altering’s going to happen and it might occur at any moment?
Wouldn’t you want to be prepared for that?
What would you think if millions (?) of people just vanished into thin air, maybe even today? And you, yourself, actually see some disappear so you know it’s for real.
If you’re not prepared, you’ll fall for the story that follows…
Here’s the details.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:52-53
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
The Rapture’s coming, folks. No way around it.
When? I don’t know. But when it does, the Church Age will end. The Lord will take all believers who died within this age, followed by us, the living believers of this age, in the twinkling of an eye. Why? Two reasons. We need to be given our eternal, imperishable bodies so we can enjoy eternity with the Lord. And we have to go so the Tribulation can begin here on earth.
This shocking event will leave the folks who remain wondering what happened. But not for long, which we’ll see in a minute.
Our departure means the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit will be taken out of the way, since He dwells within each and every Church Age believer.
2 Thessalonians 2
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
This, in turn, allows Satan’s #1 man, the Antichrist (the lawless one), to deceive those left behind.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish……
Why is he allowed to do that?
…because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
If you’re rejecting salvation now, you’re gonna fall for Satan’s lie (v.11) then.
What story could possibly be concocted to explain away potentially millions of people vanishing? I think Satan’s lie could be as simple as aliens took us, but you’ll believe it (or whatever else it might be) because what you’ll see with your own two eyes will be so convincing it’ll make our disappearance seem like child’s play.
Again in v.9-11.
9 …with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish…11 …that they should believe the lie…
His visual signs and lying wonders will blow your mind. You won’t even question it.
And even more amazing than that, get this.
GOD HIMSELF sends a strong delusion. Notice the bolding as to why.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Is this what you want to have happen to you?
Wouldn’t you rather prepare yourself ahead of time for an event that’ll affect your eternity? Just check into it for yourself. If afterwards you still wish to reject Jesus’ offer, fine. That’s your call. But at least you’ll know the consequences that’ll follow.
By the way, everyone’s given a different body before their eternity begins — not just those going to be with the Lord. Those that reject Jesus’ offer will also be given an eternal, imperishable body. Why? It’ll be needed to withstand their eternal environment. See Matthew 13:42, 24:51; John 5:29; Revelation 20:14-15, 21:8.
I know everybody’s busy. But no one is so busy they don’t have time for this.
